The Aurora diamond ring is a vintage-inspired version of a classic halo style. Named after the goddess of the dawn, Aurora features an old European-cut round diamond surrounded by rose-cut diamonds.
Rose-cut diamonds were made popular in the Georgian Era (the 1700s) and were one of the first cuts of diamonds. Originally cut by hand to optimize sparkle in candlelight, these stones are now cut by master diamond cutters to replicate that. Instead of a tight sparkle like a modern round brilliant cut diamond, rose cut diamonds give a more sensual shimmer.
Made in 18ct gold the ring features a centre old cut diamond = 0.33ct, I colour, Vs clarity. surrounded by 10 x rose cut diamonds = 0.22ct. TDW = 0.55ct
